One of the easiest ways to use almond oil as part of your hair care routine is simply to use it in place of any serum or conditioning oil to moisturize your hair, tame the frizz, and protect your ends.

Place five drops of almond oil on your hand and rub your palms together before smoothing the oil onto the ends of your hair.

Adding almond oil to a DIY conditioning mask is a great way to add a boost of moisture to your hair when it’s feeling dry.

Mix half an avocado with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of almond oil. Apply to dry hair and massage well onto your scalp before spreading the mask from the roots to the tips of your hair.

Leave on your hair for up to 45 minutes before rinsing off and shampooing as you normally would.

Hot almond oil may help strengthen your hair, as well as add moisture to your hair and scalp. This treatment is best for dry or damaged hair that doesn’t tend to get greasy too quickly.

After washing your hair, warm 6 tablespoons of almond oil in a pan or the microwave. Test the temperature of the oil on your wrist to make sure it’s not too hot.

Apply the oil to your hair and scalp before combing through. Cover with a towel or shower cap and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off and shampoo your hair as normal.

There are many salt sprays on the market designed to help define curls and add texture to your hair. But you can easily make your own DIY version at home for a fraction of the price.

Mix 2 tablespoons of sea salt with 1 tablespoon of almond oil and five drops of lavender oil. If you don’t like lavender, feel free to use your favorite essential oil instead. Add four cups of water and mix well.

Transfer the mixture to a spray bottle and spritz over your hair when styling it. Remember to shake well before each use.
