I made a garden pool for £300 out of cow trough
A woman has revealed how she made a DIY swimming pool in her garden from a recycled cow trough for just £300 – despite trolls claiming it looks like a ‘dog bath’.
The social media star – who works as a DJ – revealed she had ‘zero regrets’ as she enjoyed the below-ground pool.
Beside her DIY pool, Zoe has built her own chic seating area out of some decking.
Her video – which has amassed over 50,000 views – was captioned: ‘Fully zero regret. also this is a recycled cow trough, it has a cover, its cleaned with pool cleaner like any pool, it cost £300 and its heated up.’
The clip read: ‘When I’m told it’s a ‘bad idea’ to install a pool in my garden in the UK, then there’s a heatwave.’
In her video, Zoe showed off her beautiful garden – complete with modern decking, a corner coach and a stylish parasol.
Later the DJ donning a bikini standing poolside mimed along to a trending social media audio which says: ‘I am José Mourinho.’
Many rushed to the comments to leave their own thoughts – with some wondering how she did it.
One person gushed: ‘This is incredible. How do you clean it? Taking notes.’
In response, Zoe said: ‘We use all the same cleaning chemicals as a normal pool and regularly test it with pool test strips to ensure it’s clean!
‘Because it’s small we also drain it and refill it if we know we won’t be using it for a while too!’
Another shocked person simply wrote: ‘How?!’
Zoe explained: ‘It’s a recycled cow trough.
‘We dug a hole in the ground and had the decking guy build around it!
‘We keep it clean exactly the same as any pool, it’s just smaller!’
Someone else jokes: ‘A pool? It’s a dog bath at best.’
Hitting back at trolls, Zoe replied: ‘Nope it’s a pool it fits six people.’
